By far the biggest creep in Congress, A.Weiner is embroiled in a bit of an unseemly affair, claiming someone hacked into his Twitter account and posted a lewd pic. Unwilling to answer why he won't contact Congressional Fuzz over the incident, he becomes surly with reporters, calling one a jackass.

In the third leg of their frivolity Harry Johnson, a bald-headed yogurt slinger, joined the D-Train on skin flute in a rousing rendition of Shaft - He's a mean Tally Wacker.

I think it should be obvious that the reason he cannot ask for the FBI to investigate is that if his twitter account is found not to have been hijacked, he could then face charges from the Feds for providing false information.

Also, what an arrogant bastard this turd is; unfortunately they live on both sides of the aisle.

a Republican wouldn't have lasted 48 hours before having to resign for something like this, but with the democrats the bar is so low that nearly anything goes. you can tweet your weener, follow young girls on twitter, commit crimes, lie, etc, etc. there are never any consequences. heh, it was just a prank by some hacker. Let's move on he says.

yeah right, if he was hacked why wouldn't he go to law enforcement? whoever hacked him threatened the career and reputation of a US congressman. wouldn't you want that "prankster" behind bars?

what a farce.

just for conversation, can it just be arrogant stupidity that a guy in his position would do something like this ?

he's a creep, a weasel, and many things, but he doesn't appear to be stupid. he would have known this move could never stay private.

is it just a case of pompous stupidity ?

Maybe Fox News can invite Weiner on the Hannity Program so he can explain why he twittered his package to 4o.ooo followers. It would give them a break from dethroning Obama 24 hours a day and slamming the "anointed one."
A Weiner appearance would put Hannity in full McCarthy mode and the spin would dizzying.

D.N.C. Chairwoman Schultz, the beer that made Milwaukee famous, must choose a strategy for Weiner's career: rebuild or retool.

One option is a getaway to Australia, to put heads together with legal genius Aunt Gloria. Documentary might be shot of the trip, maybe to be called "Weiner/Allred Down Under."

Plans are also underway for a fundraising Weenie Roast, with a cavalcade of stars:

Ed 'Bear' Asner

Leonard 'Long Iron' Barr

George 'Jackhammer' Jessel

Ed 'Itchy' Koch

Bernie 'Boxer' Schwartz

Jakov Smirnov

Jonathan 'Jock' Kitsch

Victoria 'Bikerack' Beckham

Fannie Flagg

Ed 'Too Long' Jones

Rapper Too Short

Comedian Danny Glans

Filmmaker Wayne Wang

Russian thespian Pyotr the Great [They call him Pete for short --- it ain't.]

Follow along on Flogger. Go to flog.ur.weiner.e-e-w.

P.S. Callers to Dennis Miller came up with three I wish I'd thought of:

I relish the fact that Weiner is in a pickle. He needs to be frank but so far, his cock and bull stories don't cut the mustard. The press will continue to dog him and eventually catch up to him and grill him about the baloney he's been talking. The worst knock on him is that he denies any role in this affair. The late night shows are going to have a ball with this and his buns will be toast after they run him through the grinder. Will the coverage be brief or elongated? Will the press go soft on him or will they be hard on him? Whatever happens, the poor stiff is going to get hosed.

WEINER'S TALE UNRAVELING

snip> But according to data provided exclusively to The Daily from TweetCongress.org, a nonprofit website that captures each member of Congress’s Twitter feeds in real time, the shot seen round the world was transmitted using TweetDeck — a popular Adobe desktop application that links up with social networking sites. A review of Weiner’s Twitter stream from May 27, the day of the crotch pic, shows that Weiner had been posting only from TweetDeck — one of many ways to post messages to Twitter — that entire night.

Chet Wisniewski, a senior security adviser at security software company SophosLabs, said the TweetDeck stamp “does make it more plausible that it did come from him.”<snip

it's going to be a rough week I predict for this ahole (http://biggovernment.com/abreitbart/2011/06/06/weinergate-bombshell-new-woman-comes-forward-claiming-cache-of-intimate-photos-and-online-communications-with-beleaguered-congressman/).

A new woman has come forward with what she claims are photographs, chats, and emails with Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY). These appear to undermine severely Rep. Weiner’s explanations that he was the victim of a “prank” or a “hack.”

The detailed new information suggests that the Brooklyn- and Queens-based representative and the young woman in question were involved in an online, consensual relationship involving the mutual exchange of intimate photographs.

BigGovernment.com and BigJournalism.com were approached regarding this information more than a week prior to the separate, independent event of Friday, May 27, 2011, when a link to the now-infamous “gray underwear” photograph appeared publicly on Rep. Weiner’s Twitter feed (http://biggovernment.com/publius/2011/05/28/weinergate-congressman-claims-facebook-hacked-as-lewd-photo-hits-twitter/).

We will be updating BigGovernment.com and BigJournalism.com throughout the day with photographs, timelines, and other clarifying details. However, we will not be releasing all of the material because some of it is of an extreme, graphic nature.

Here's where Tom & I agree again. WTF is wrong with so many of these "tools" ? They have become so inured to living high off the hog above the rest of us, so innately squared with the culture of privilege, entitlement and pomp, that they have lost their way from the meaning of democracy.

i.e. YOU were elected to represent the people- not YOURSELF!

It is not simply that events like this betray trust and judgment. It is that they, in today's digital age, exhibit STUPIDITY- gross stupidity!

And therefore, now hear this righties:

My opinion, just like the cons before him that couldn't keep their shirt/pants/etc. on, his constituents should tell him to take a hike and pronto. And, if he doesn't leave, the House should use their powers to axe him.

Poor Weiner painting himself the victim of a dirty trick. Weiner sent all his liberal defenders in hot pursuit of a vast right wing conspiracy. This little weasel needs to quit because this will not go away anytime soon. Weiner can not say for sure that none of these women were underage. The woman from Vegas that had phone sex with him did so on his congressional phone. Is this guy for real with his reckless stupidity. Coming clean may not matter all that much if his constituents are offended enough to throw him out of office. In my book he is toast.

I give the guy until Thursday to step down; that might be a stretch.

Michael Savage posits that Weiner was brought down by someone in his own party. Schumer because the Congressman (formerly his protege) was getting too uppity, or Obama because Weiner came out against Obama's '67 borders idea regarding Israel.

Stay tuned; someone tipped Breitbart off.

Weiner never did pass the smell test with a lot folks, me included. Arrogant, felt like he was above answering direct questions to a degree I haven't seen before. (re:last years O'reilly interview). Very self centered. People from both party's should feel good about outing this creep.

Just for those who haven't seen the photo (how I don't know) the photo is less explicit than lots of underwear ads. It is not a shot of his penis, it's a shot of his penis covered with underwear. Hell, It is described as an 'erect' penis in some news stories. For the life of me I would have not used the e word to describe it. It's just a shot of his underwear really. Weinergate has caused the clueless Matt Damon to cancel a fundraiser for Weiner that he was going to host.:(

As originally reported by the Daily News, actor and progressive activist Matt Damon was scheduled to host a fund-raiser for Congressman Anthony Weiner on June 20 at Almond Restaurant, with tickets ranging from $250 to $10,000 a pop. Then yesterday happened.
“It’s going to be postponed now because of all this,” Damon told us at the Made in NY Awards at Gracie Mansion last night . But Damon hasn’t given up on Weiner just yet. “Look, I really support his politics,” he told us. “Anybody who fights for the working class and the middle class, I’ll help in any way I can.”

But he hasn't given up hope because he really supports his politics because he fights for the working man!!
How long will these saps like Damon keep buying into this "helping the working man" elixir that democrats are peddling. their policies are runious for the working man, that is unless you're in the priviledged class of unions/government workers.

What a sad sad commentary on life in America in 2011. In all my years working for the IRS/federal government, not one person ever accused me of being a member of "the priviledged class". In fact, through much of my career at the IRS, public accounting firms and lawyers representing taxpayers told me I was selling my skills short by sticking with the IRS. But I stuck with it for over 33 years for two reasons.

The most important reason is that I wanted people kissing my ass - not vice-versa. Kissing somebody's ass in order to keep their account is hard work. It requires being available almost non-stop. It requires biting one's lip on a regular basis. It requires BS'ing and I prefer not to if possible.

The second reason is the pension. I knew if I lived long enough, it was a great pension.

So I stayed and things worked out pretty well for Uncle Sam and me. I look back proudly at my career at the IRS. Sure. I never got rich but I didn't miss any meals either. Good for me.

But in the last couple years I learned something I never knew. I was one of the Chosen Ones! :D Who knew? Not me. Not my wife. Certainly not my friends or relatives.

I'll tell you who knew. People who have lived by and swore by conservative/Republican policies - that's who. Those fantastic conservative/Republican policies/ideas/ideals that have been the running this country 2/3's of the time going back to 1980.

The champions of the Trickle Down Economy have succeeded in doing the one thing I thought was impossible. They elevated me to membership into "the priviledged class". Apparently, this is the true effect of the Trickle Down Economy. Make things so bad for most people that even government employees and teachers look like fat cats.

I wouldn't vote for a Republican if my life depended on it. Republicans don't believe in employee rights or benefits; Republicans don't believe in helping anyone in the middle class or lower; Republicans believe the Tooth Fairy will pay our country's debts.

I could go on but nobody likes a long post. ;)

toetoe

I agree that the two most desperately overused words (and least understood) are 'privilege' and 'elite'.

I don't defend anyone that thinks the Tooth Fairy [are we allowed to use that term ?] will take care of our business, but how about outgo ? I understand a healthy income is paramount, but what about the profligacy of spending ?

Just askin'. :)

A new report out today from the Congressional Research Service shows more than 77,000 federal workers drew higher salaries in 2009 than the governors of the states they worked in. It's not just pay - their benefits are out of this world.

The Journal says employees are entitled to a 5% match from the government to their retirement plans. The average private sector worker usually only gets 3% and once these workers retire at the ripe old age of 62 - they take home more than 1% of their three highest year's salary - times the number of years worked.

So let's do the math—if someone was making $80,000 a year, after 30 years, they get to live off of more than $26,000 a year - that's just their pension.

What's worse is that the vast majority of that sum is paid for by you and me. The American taxpayer foots nearly 12% of that bill because the fed workers themselves only contributed less than 1% of their pay.

There are movements in congress to change that—Republicans are trying to make that contribution requirement 6% and that could save the government anywhere from $50 to $114 billion over the next decade.
Looks 'chosen' to me.

Interesting that you wrote that, NJ Stinks, because the same thing happened to me while I worked as an Income Tax Auditor for NY State. While working on a residency audit in Buffalo, NY of a "high-profile" taxpayer, the taxpayer's hotshot attorney, Mr. Paul Comeau, essentially offered me a job in his practice as a means of getting me off the case. Of course, I recognized that I was a member of a "privileged" class of NY State civil servants, so I turned him down. Glad I did, because my pension's pretty sweet now.

It's a shame that animosity towards a group of Americans is being stirred up for political purposes. I always thought that every working man should always strive to "get ahead," whether that working man is in the private or public sector.

NJ, that great pension and benefits you have are not available anymore for the average working person. don't want to call it elite? fine, then call it the protected class. unions pay the government to give them preferences, and government workers are not subject to the pressures of the private sector for obvious reasons so their numbers grow unchecked. when was the last time there was a recession in government?
its never too late to start thinking with your mind and not your heart. people like you who want a government solution for every problem have created a beast that is going to sink us. look at countries like Greece, Portugal, Spain, etc. most of the population is sitting around waiting for the government to do something and they're broke. it's game over for them. lets not let it happen here. where do you think we're going to get the money to pay off that 60+ trillion in unfunded mandates over the next couple of decades?
don't vote based on the party name, vote for people who make sense and seem to have a coherent thought and will work hard. its time to grow up, an arrogant loudmouth sitting in his office sexting a porn star and lying about it is no hero to the working class.

First, I don't care where Mack got his figures. I paid 7% of my pay toward my pension for 33 years. That's 7% of every dime I made.

Secondly, my pension money is in a trust fund. The trust fund has been earning money by investing in government securities and by earning interest. Not once has Congress ever had to find money to pay retirees in my retirement plan. It is self-sustaining.

Reagan got rid of my pension plan in 1986 and the pension plan that replaced it is mainly a 401(k). So if you were hired by the federal government after 1985, you are in Reagan's pension plan. Anyway, Elkabong, you will be happy to know that the annuitants in my pension plan are dying off rather quickly with each passing year. If you were in CSRS (Civil Service Retirement System for the unwashed masses), you did indeed pay 7% into your pension fund. Civil Service workers were not covered by Social Security. When they established FERS (Federal Employees Retirement System) in the 80's Federal employees came under the Social Security umbrella. The current employee contribution to the Federal employee retirement fund is .8%. But he now contributes 6.2% to Social Security which he did not do previously. I am fairly certain that .8% plus 6.2% is still 7.0% This contribution (7%) is matched by the employing agency.

There is one interesting difference between government and private industry. Once you reach the Social Security maximum (Around $106,000) as a government employee you continue to contribute the same 7%.

This information can be found here:
http://www.opm.gov/retire/pubs/handbook/C030.pdf
The truth is that taxpayers paid for our pensions only in the sense that someone who bought a loaf of bread paid for the pension of a baker. We paid for our pensions through our contributions and out labor. If Elkabong doesn't like that, tough #@%^. Personally, I hope to live a long time just to aggravate the little creep.

Mainly because nobody hired by the federal government from 1986 on is my pension plan.

Slightly off topic but since some here have taken to ragging on gov't workers and their pension, work ethic, etc... may I interject the following thoughts;

1- gov't workers, like business owners, work the system as laid out before them. Business owners normally hire tax accountants to find every available tax break to minimize their liability, which is fine. Gov't workers, like all others, take advantage of opportunities placed before them such as pensions, vacation, sick days, and so on. They are working within the system.

2- Gov't workers at the very least hold a job; whether or not one feels they work "hard enough" is an opinion at best. At the least, they are not the recipients of handouts.

3- Over the years I have come into contact with many small business owners; some are friends others are not. Regardless of which category they fall in , I have found most to be the biggest bunch of whiners with whom I have ever come in contact. Everybody is screwing them from their suppliers, to their employees, to their customers, yet most own more than one home, luxury cars, etc..

The point is that we all take the opportunities as presented and either make the most of those chances or we do not.

Blaming Gov't workers at any level for the soundness of their pension plans is foolhardy at best, mean spirited at worst.

Wisdom from the Old Line State and the city of Baltimore. Unlike NJ Stinks, I joined the NY State Retirement System in 1972 when it was totally non-contributory (Tier I). I think they're up to like Tier VII now, and no telling what Gov. Cuomo wants to do with it in the future.

I have absolutely no qualms about my pension, and I plan to live a long life.

As NJ Stinks pointed out, it's probably not a good idea to be pissed at the guy or gal who's fixing your broken-down car, doing open-heart surgery on you, or auditing your taxes.

Although I am one who would generally support Weiner's political side, I've already said days ago: " BEGONE." And it is precisely because Weiner is the latest 'deer in the headlights' pol who believed that 'The Culture' would protect him and render him above the fray of his colossal stupidity. You know, the culture of privilege and entitlement and payoff, whereby elected reps of democracy have substituted the " by the people, for the people", with " by me & 100% FOR ME, the instant they get in!

Weiner is finding that this culture is going out the door and he is wrong place and wrong time.

Now some here believe that his party has supported him. 100% false. First, the silence was deafening when the issue first broke. Meaning, that behind the scenes many prominent figures were urging reflection and resignation. Weiner, by not taking the direction, they are coming out publicly- as in, they want him off the front page.

And, this privileged entitlement to do whatever you want, is never the privilege of one party, as some would also like to push here.

As in:

1) Which pol cold shouldered their wife & picked up a date while the wife was dealing with Cancer ?
A: Edwards & Newtie.

2) Which pol was caught trolling for hookers/dates/affairs ?
A: Spitzer, Clinton, Hart, the Governator, Sanford, Livingston, Packwood.

3) Which Pol was caught trolling for House male pages ?
A: Foley

4) Which Pol was caught trolling for men in bathrooms stalls?
A: Yep- Sen I'm-a-hoe

5) Which was Pol has been caught sexting in this digital age?
A: THIS idgit & Lee, but probably many are trying to get rid of the trails of their on line accounts as we speak.

Interesting today on ABC's Sunday show, that they pointed out that ALL of these people are male and whether there would be a (hate to use this word) seminal change if more female pols were elected.

As for Weiner, he is now using the classic 'treatment defense' and may try to hang on. Why? The pols of his own constituents support him! :bang: http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/dailypolitics/2011/06/poll-should-weiner-stay-or-should-he-go

The fact that you didn't notice that I used that gag many posts ago ... well, it gives me the willies.

Not to be intransigent, but not even a Johnson bar could budge me from my position.

here's the real, real scary part of this. as this little, slimmy, creep slithers in front of us, he is representative of many more, just like him, in congress.

these are the scum that write the laws and piss away the billions every day that effect each one of our lives each and every day.

now, you as an individual, violate one of the "rules" that guys like this put together and make the law, and they will crucify you.

this weasel is only the tip of the iceberg.

AW quotes include:

I need to heal from the damage that I've caused.

I would also like to thank my mother and father, who instilled in me the values that have carried me this far.

Now, I'll be looking for other ways to contribute 'my talent' ...

It would seem that weenie wagging pays off after all. The disgraced congressman stands to receive a pension worth an estimated cool 1.2 million. How many working folks are in line for that kind of retirement after only 12 years on the job? With the mood of the nation in favor of pension reform for public employees, perhaps the place to start is Congress.

He caused the damage, but he's the one who needs to heal? Unbelievable!

And if his mom and dad are still alive, I'm sure they're real proud of him.
