Obama code-named ‘smart alec’ in Britain

Do Brits think Barack Obama is a bit of a "smart alec"?

The label certainly appears to fit in the minds of British police. Scotland Yard, the UK's police force, has given Obama the security codename 'Chalaque' for his visit this week to the United Kingdom, the UK Daily Mail reports. The term is reportedly a Punjabi word meaning someone who is too clever for his own good, according to the newspaper.

A Punjabi speaker told the newspaper that the word is 'not considered rude', but could be 'mildly offensive'. "It is also said to mean 'cheeky, crafty and cunning'," the paper notes.

Scotland Yard insiders told the Sunday Times that codewords are randomly generated by computer, "but the paper wondered why officials decided to stick with them, when they could have simply had another word selected that would be less provocative," the paper notes.

That computer they have is pretty smart. I might even have to rethink my position on his relationship to the antichrist:

Eph 6:11
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
KJV

And,

2 Thess 2:9-10
9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.
NASB

I hope the Brits have the good sense to have some exorcists on standby just in case.

No Boxcar, Brits probably do not think that at all.
The article clearly tells you the codename was randomly generated by computer.
The codename was for the whole State visit, not the person.
Brits are not computers - they just appear to be 100% cleverer than the average Joe. You have surely watched far too many B movies about alien invasion.
Random: "made, or occurring without definite aim, reason, or pattern".

This subject doesn't matter and it isn't news. Its any little desperate thing or falsehood to stir up controversy and distract the American people from the real problems plaguing the country. Obama as an ambassador for US values and freedom is one of the few good things going for USA right now. So what about you?

Wow! What would I do without you? Apart from you telling me this, I would have never known this.

In the article it states it differently. Just when I beginning to think you can actually read.

Are you suggesting that BO is an alien, after all?

Random: "made, or occurring without definite aim, reason, or pattern".

Exactly! And you have no appreciation for irony, do you? You need to get out more often.

The real problem is Obama. God's curse upon this nation is becoming increasingly more obvious, as I don't see any Repug beating him next year. But even so...this nation will not repent and turn to God. The people would rather be afflicted with and even suffer gladly the Obamas of the world.

obama is the figurehead of political correctness. in public and for public consumption he gets his "respect" by his fellow world leaders.

in private, as soon as the door closes behind him, everybody covers their mouth and bursts out laughing.

he's a disgrace.

Obama's approval ratings in European countries are around 75%. I would say that proves NativeTexan is not joking.

And you know this how? Tweets from Angela? Texts from David? Email from Nicholas? Are you hiding in the fruit salad at the G8 summit?

There's a joke here alright, but it's not Obama.

In Peking, Hanoi, Havana, and Caracas, am sure that his numbers are even higher, like about 99% ?

Not at all. Can you explain to me why YOUR outsider opinion of anything about this country matter?

No, you can't because they do not. Your opinion, your name calling and racial insults all included. Just like my 2 cents are worthless about Canadian affairs in Canada.

Just like whatever Europeans think about Obama is pretty much worthless.

He's not my lead. I steer clear of "leaders" who can't follow Jesus' simple instructions. Shame all over them.

The curse could be on the Repugs but it is hard to believe that the Almighty would consider a blessing on any politician regardless of what political party he represents.
