i attached some photos to send friend and they appeared hugh-one picture took up entire screen-how do you make normal size--(transferring pictures to computer)

camera is a small nikon digital camera

Without knowing your OS/software, it's difficult to give specific answers.

Do a web search for "scale photo".

There are web sites in which you can scale your photos, but it is quicker and safer to do it on your computer with installed software.

open a picasa or flikr account and upload your photos there....don't email photos, email a link to photos. Its much friendlier.

If for some reason I *really* need to edit photos locally, I use Infranview http://www.irfanview.com/ but most everything can be done after upload to picasa.

If you want to download Irfan view, it's free and easy to learn

after you open your image go under "image" "resize" and work with it there.

If you are a novice, I recommend the option where you can cut the size by "Percentage" go in and choose 50% etc and then save it. Then email it.

If you want to preserve the original big size, just save the smaller version to a new folder or name and you will have both sizes available to you
