Lots of discussion questioning his soundness which I never bought as he finished both the KD and Preakness with energy.

I would like to see him in the Belmont but at this point Shack and AK appear to be better.

They could hire him out to replace the ambulance at some track.

If he aint beating this bunch yet, he is overrated as a ship around type. Perhaps needs certain track/bias, or (here goes...) drop in class. I have read about soundness issues, and that probably holds some water. Back off of him awhile or look for softer spots. What else is there?

Consistent quality closer who needs things his own way.

lots of negative comments for a horse who did a lot of running in the first two legs of the triple crown.

Beat Shackleford at 9f in a race where he was aided by a fast pace and hindered by a race that didn't collapse.

Not expected to have a big kick @ 12f and I would guess that he will pass the Belmont Stakes and build up for some of the post3crown 9f stakes for 3yo

he has to be sound as much running as hes done in internal fractions in these triple crown races.

he has 6 races, and each race he has run his quality internal fractions. He has also been remarkably consistent with his workouts. I think in the last 12 listed, he has something like 6 bullets and 4 more that are top 3, with the other 2 fast as well.
If he is unsound, then he is a superhorse and Zito is giving him some really good stuff. More likely he is what he is, and his consistent fractions indicate soundness is not as bad as some of the "derby rumors"

His future should hold finding a blacksmith who can attach his shoes correctly.

Yet we have not yet coined the appropriate excuses for his inconsistencies?
We have heard the weak crop argument as usual this year. Is he not running with these? "Quality internal fractions" while off the board finishes begs a solution if not answers. Back off or drop down produces winners out of also rans.......could be he wants no more than a mile as well to be best.

I learned the hard way a long time ago that "quality internal factions" don't mean much when it comes winning races.

he is a one turn sprinter, that is very classy and can hit a 2 turn race against the right crowd. said it in February, sticking to my story. that's what he needs to get back to doing.
