I am staying on the Animal Kingdom bandwagon for the Preakness. Won the Derby easily, seems fit and found none of the others appealing enough to consider for win slot.
As betting proposition, AK's win odds will be in 2/3-1 range and as a matter of policy, it is difficult to take low odds in a 14-horse field. The Preakness will be played in the exotic pools.
In the realm of the Animal Kingdom, the fittest survive. Astrology and Dance City are new faces who have pedigree and have shown talent at 2-turn races; Mucho Macho Man and Dialed In ran creditably in Derby; Norman Asbjornsen and King Congie and Sway Away look to be in the 2nd tier of runners who may fill the 3rd and 4th slots.
