Randy Moss was being interview by the fabulous babe and he had a few interesting quotes in his interview heres a couple,

"I know more then a few that make a living in this game, yes you can make a living in this game, difficult but you can"
"The triple crown has not lost any value in sports though the game is down"
"It was easier to make a living at the track in the old days because there was a tremendous amount of dumb money being wagered in the parimutuels, now the dumb money is being deposited into slot machines, the game has much smarter people playing it."

Tough game, would you quit your job today to try to make a living at the track?Imo i could never handle the pressure of supporting my family on a insecure income from the races. Can you imagine your next meal is dependent whether Dominguez gets home the even money shot for you to hit the pick 4?A lost photo, bad ride,i couldnt stomach it.

Its possible to win, but the price is very high.

I cringe when I read of "dumb money." Does any other sport's fanbase have such a low opinion of its fellow travelers?

why do you sell stuff ?
I sense a "free-for-all" brewing...

Isn't it the dream of us all?
I know it is for me, but a dream it will forever remain, I'm afraid.

Isn't it the dream of us all?No, I never wanted that. A nice profitable hobby sideline, yes. I knew someone when I first started betting who made a living doing it. I saw the toll it took on him and his family back then. Besides as clever as I think I am, I knew I could not hold a candle to him in the brains department.

why do you sell stuff ?

The obvious answer is, "To make money."

Here's the skinny.

1. People DO win. I know about two dozen such people fist hand.

2. With rare exception, they all have 2nd incomes. Mine happens to be in horse racing, the game I love.

3. The tired old mantra, "If it is any good, why would you sell it?" is just not worthy of a deep answer.

4. If "nothing any good is ever sold", why would anyone ever purchase a book on horse racing or poker?

5. If you have NEVER purchased a book on horse racing, how did you learn the game?

6. If you did purchase a book on horse racing, then all those ideas you got were no good, so why are you doing what you learned about in a book?

I put out very good products. Every product I put out is at least somewhat different and/or unique. Are they worthwhile? You bet they are. Will they make you rich? Probably not. Can they push you over so that you finally beat the game? Absolutely. Can't guarantee that but we certainly get lots of feedback to that effect.

Finally, every once in awhile, some guy (and I am actually not referring to you), comes along and says that nobody can win. By "nobody" he really means that "he" cannot win.

Dave Schwartz

PS: There will be no war. I simply have too much to do to engage in wars.

Selling "stuff" and selling selections are two completely different, you often confused, things.

CJ,

If you are talking to me, I never get them confused.

No, I was talking to the one who asked why sell "stuff".

Re: #6
if you bought a book on horse racing, and the ideas were no good, i think u wouldn't b using those ideas

i've never bought a book on horse racing, read a couple though

best idea for me was key race charting ( got the idea from the form), too much work so i developed a speed fig - much better

I don't believe it!
That is that The Fabulous Sports Babe still has a radio show, thought she was done a decade ago, hope I don't run across her show anywhere.

Nanci Donnellan has a show in Tampa the last I heard.
