Tonight (5/12) at 8pm ET (5pm PT), on our live Internet radio show Winning Ponies, we will welcome Jesus Castenon, the rider of Kentucy Derby competitor, Shackleford.
Jesus Lopez Castanon was born on 3/4/73 in Mexico City, and currently lives in Kentucky, KY. Jesus Became involved in racing at an early age, as his dad was a trainer in Mexico and his brothers, Tony, and Jose were jockeys also in Mexico. His first winner was She's The World at Aqua Caliente on 4/21/89. Mr. Castanon always said: "My role models are my brother Tony and (Hall of Famer) Lafitt Pincay, Jr." Jesus's favorite hobbies are golf and soccer. Jesus Castanon rode Shackleford for Dale Romans to finish 4th in the 137th Kentucky Derby. He will share that experience with us, and give us an insight on the future of Shackleford. Join us as our host will takes us through that very unpredicted Derby outcome, trying to sort out that race.

Focusing on things like past performances, bloodlines, surface preferences, workouts, etc., we will cover everything.
