Just curious if there are any casino players here, bj, craps or baccarat. I used to play alot of bj years ago when the games were good in vegas back, in the mid to late 70's, actually lived there and made a (small) living playing. Keep a roof over my head, thats about it. Thought i was going to make a million dollars untill i finally realized what that 2% or so advantage was really all about. I have spent a lot of time the last few years studying baccarat and have actually discovered a methodology that seems to hold up, not card counting, whitch is not possible for that game. Any casino experances or anyone play baccarat??

Big Cat,

I have a friend who has occasionally "discovered" a way to beat one of the table games played in Vegas. Bac is a favorite. Mostly, since there is absolutely no player input and the house doesn't care which side wins since you can bet either bank or player, they are money management systems, usually involving rules of when to switch from bank to player or back.

Whenever my friend shows me one of his systems, I turn on my computer casino game and try it out. With bac, it is such an easy to game to program that testing is easy. The only unrealistic part is that you get a genuine perfect random shuffle. To date, nothing has stood up under a long term test. His last bac system (I think he bought it) showed a nice profit for 500 hands, then went south. After 1,000 hands, he was down more than his original bankroll.

After studding the math of table games, I just don't see how you can win in the long run except by cheating. 21. horses, sports can all be beaten, but nothing else in the casino. If you want to test your system over a large number of hands, let me know and I'll send you my bac game. It is a lot cheaper to test on a computer than on a table.

Dick, your mention of baccarat reminded me of Lyle Stuart, the American publisher who is a big winner at this game(his book about his casino experiences is entertaining)- as well as the fact that Kerry Packer, a billionaire Australian businessman who is famous as the greatest baccarat winner in history, used the system derived from the Russian mathematician's work on Prime Number Theory to beat the casinos.

I refer to the work done by American as well as foreign mathematicians which broke Prof. Vinogradov's Prime Number Theory down into a format usable for stock trading, as well as casino applications.

You may have seen newspaper accounts of the 2 brothers who owned a small brokerage firm down south, paid an American professor to adapt the Prime Number Theory to stock market and later to gambling applications, and wound up making a fortune in stock trading- later using the method in the casinos.

As well, the biggest write up was on the Japanese brokers who flew here and- using the system- took a reported $400,000 out of Atlantic City before returning to Japan. It caused quite a sensation in Atlantic City and resulted in alot of folks, myself included, trying to get tickets to the seminars in Florida where the system was presented.

I heard that after 3 seminars, the last one had a reported 500 people show up at the door, the brothers had enough and called off the remaining meetings.

I contacted a mathematics professor at a college near Albany, New York via e-mail, and asked him if- because he had written a book on Prof. Vinogradov's theory- he would be willing to coach me in adapting the theory for casino gambling.

He said he would be willing to help me, but that my efforts would come to naught because in his words, "I did not have higher math".--Thwarted again.

All The Best,

Jaguar
