What is definition of "Views"

At the top of the any discussion topic here, I understand the meaning of all the column headings, except the one called, "Views."

I have a feeling I'm just being dense, but someone please tell me.

I think that the "Views" column shows the total number of times that thread has been viewed by either a registered member or guest.

Am I right PA?
