did you ever read the mystery series by jim murray (not the l a times guy) written with the race track backdrop ? one was"tip on a dead crab ". i enjoyed those.

Yes, I loved the Jim Murray novels and did read "Tip On A Dead Crab"
I think he's gone now. I hope i'm mistaken.

correction: the other author's name was william not jim murray.

I really like the Murray books. Shifty is cool.
