Going to be posting my pick during the card as I am stuck at home with nothing to do. Will post a few minutes before each race.

j/k post them whenever the f you want........

I'd like to give them the once over though... But I can't hang around while you do paddock previews and check the Tote..

I thought you were taking over the Pub Handicapping Job down there? You gotta post slightly before the race when you get that Job you know?

Hey... make money...

LOL, i should talk to local newspaper or something and try to get a job as a "turf analyst" as no local papers carry anything other than entries and results. I am going to try to get as much of the card done as soon as possible, but i havent looked much, and will be posting soon. will try to get a race or two ahead so people can see do whatever with the picks.

This first race is about as ugly as a 4000 Maiden Claimer can get. There is a lack of speed, so if the 6 C Squared can get out of the gate like he did last time, he has a shot as the only other speed horse is the 7 Wildville. I think that C Squared last race was a fluke, althought I liked the horse somewhat last race. The 5 Casamo should be the horse to beat. I Like the 2 on the drop from MSW to the bottom. You also have to respect the Scooter Davis angle as he is 22% on the year.

Selections
5 Casamo
2 Tis Yo
3 Justin Ray
6 C Squared

As I said it is a bad race, so I wouldnt bet anything big on this race.

A possible longshot for the first might be 4 jamessonjimmyjames as his best races were back last winter on the same type of track as there is now.

Buddha

The second race is a 4000 n2y. Another not so good race, but I see some possible value in this race. The likely favorite 3 Indigo Myth may not like the deep track as he came from CA, and his first race over MNR was on the turf, and since hitting the MNR main has not finished better than 4th. I am going to take a shot with the 1 Elm's Legacy as he has some back class, and ran well last winter at MNR. Also a chance at hitting the ticket are 4 Tim's Best 5 The Duker 8 Dreamers Point and 10 Obill.

Selections

1 Elm's Legacy
4 Tim's Best
10 Obill
5 The Duker

In the third race, we got a scratch reduced field what is now down to 7. I don't see much value, but we will see how the bettors let it end up. The 3 Gorgeous Guest appears to be the speed of the speed, and has excelled on a wet track. The 8 Swiss Attire hasnt run bad, but isnt all that great. Hot Dixie also warrants a chance after getting a tightener in his last. Bonus Move , the 2, has done better since being dropped to 4000 and also has a chance.

Selections

3 Gorgeous Guest
8 Swiss Attire
3 Hot Dixie
2 Bonus Move

So much for the 3 not winning, but I did cash on another place ticket on the 1, so not complaining this race as i got 8-1 on a place bet. I think I am going to like this winter racing, at least until everyone else catches on.

Gonna play along at least one race with Buddha...warning...first time I've laid eyes upon a set of Mnr past performances, and I'm not betting a single dollar. Just in it for the education!

3rd Race-
4-7-8

4 had a horrendous trip last time (I guess :) ), should pop the gate and be prominent early.

Here goes nothing :D

I feel a bad maiden field for 4th tonight. The 3 Silent Reason is likely to be the favorite. I don't like the Dale Baird shipins. While he has the figs to win, I will be betting against. Horses shipping in from Hoosier last year had a reputation of coming in and winning, and once they close, MNR will be getting more. I think that 6 Tricky Phone stands a chance to win here. 5 Ms Knight Lane coming off the route could be flying late. 1 Regal Amy is a cheap horse with a chance.

Selections

6 Tricky Phone
5 Ms Knight Lane
3 Silent Reason
1 Regal Amy

Fifth Race is a contentionous 7500n2l claimer. 9 Charlotte Jones has about the most consistent beyers, although not the best. 6 Scoarlet O'Claire drops a bit with decent speed figs, and 7 Arizona Lady has some off the pace fun last time, but in a very slow time. `1 Classie Green coming in from EmD has a shot also.

Selections

9 Charlotte Jones
6 Scarlet O'Claire
1 Classie Green
7 Arizona Lady

9 Addakiss is coming off an impressive win last out. 2 Great Pride just missed last out to Addakiss and should have a good shot. 1 Money Shot has run well on off tracks, and has some back class to possibly figure in this race. Bartko 7 has the speed figs to be close at the end.

Selections

9 Addakiss
2 Great Pride
7 Bartko
1 Money Shot

If I make the morning line, then the "stupid" public who may bet off the morning line will make my horses shorter prices, and not be able to cash as much :)

A 2l allowance for the babies.

1 Pyrite Alena has to be regarded based on connections alone. The Feliciano's are deadly at MNR, but not usually a price. After a short freshening, possible improvement. 8 Devilsgonnagetcha is coming of a game third beaten by a shipin from Kentucky. 6 Smart Caller shipping in has only missed the ticket once. 5 King's Lassie in from FL. Murphy/Progno decent duo. 2 Got Gear has talent, but is today his day?

Again the Felicianos come up with the 8 Pyrite Mac. Zimmerman ships in live horses, so the 7 Warren Avenue should have a shot.6 Date More Minors, another Baird buy who will be overbet. 1 Sixth Formal has been close a couple of times while not winning in 15 months.

7 Warren Avenue

3 Scooby Drew and Me is going for 3 in a row. 9 Colchis has a chance, but with McFadden up, will prolly have to come from off the pace. 10 Can't Fool Clyde has some late kick, but will he be able to be a factor coming off the bench? 8 Twin Oaks A.L. can be a factor if close to the pace. 1 Imperial Classic has put 2 nice races and has run well on the winterized track before.

Selections

1 Imperial Classic
3 Scooby Drew and Me
8 Twin Oaks A.L.

I heard Ricky Frazier left Retama about 2 months ago to go out to California so he could focus on his movie career. Now he's in MNR? Guess being a stunt double isn't as much fun as he thought it would be.

Yea, last I heard he was at Emerald, and then came here. Don't know how long he plans on staying, but he seems to be a decent jock
