In the 3rd today at Delaware Park, a MSW 3 year fillies, Golden Gate shipper Gold Connection (trainer Brent Sumja) wins; Santa Anita shipper Unbridled Dream (DW Lukas - Bob & Beverly Lewis) is 2nd.
There have been several California trainers ship east; it will be interesting to see how successful they are, and, more importantly, how bad this will make the California horse shortage. The purse in this race at Delaware was $2k higher than in Northern California, and $16k less than at Santa Anita.
Incidentally, the surface at Delaware was redone this year, and so far is faster than before. If you are an "early speed" type of handicapper, you might want to check it out.
