Anyone seen this page ? It's the Int'l body for horse racing... They have a stats section which has some numbers on betting, races, and purse sizes..

Also, looks like Hong Kong does have the biggest handle per race, due to their small number of races per year (674). Japan has the biggest handle total, but they have alot of races (23,820).

On a side note, does a bigger handle affect the average bettor ?

As a show bettor, I like bigger handles for more constant payoffs. I also like bigger field size.
