couple days till the derby and she's AWOL ?

your posts take me back to trying to run a stabe and balance the emotion of the female workers that "just loved" all the horses and wanted to treat them like pets. ha ha

remember, i wanted my harness horses to look like mike tyson (plain black trunks and shoes, no socks...a warrior). i always "rigged" my harness horses in basic black.

had this one girl who brought her horse to the paddock with the braids and the bows and all made up. of course i went nuts....started telling her this was no barrel race at the rodeo....this was a war !!!

we laughed like hell. the toughest part of those dealings was telling the young ladies you were droping their charge in claiming price because according to them, the racing world was watching and, surely, their baby was a cinch to get claimed.

i can tell you love them all jonied. where the hell have you been ?

Probably farm chores of late.......her posts reveal a great passion for the game to be sure.
Never hesitated to let a girl look after a nervous horse, but I always felt there was a limit somewhere. Once in awhile, they would prove me wrong too......

without a doubt, the women were the best for the horses. the love, the dedication was something the guys just didn't have in them in general.(however i will never forget the unbridled joy of goldikova's groom. that was no act).

it was just so tough dealing with them when it came to the bottom line. they'd give you the look.

This thread has real potential.

not that i owe you an explanation (what makes you think i care a rats ass if you approve) but i was just curious as to the absence of a regular poster.

the difference is i miss her comments and ignore yours whenever possible.

Is this person a cross between joanied and johnnielu?

Actually, she was online as recently as yesterday. There are stalker laws, you know?

haven't seen any posts and don't check whos on line, not a mod like you.

trying to be nice to one who seems like a nice person and you got me a stalker.

don't you have some speed figs to do ?

i used to try to be polite and civil but some here don't deserve that.

If this was true, why not ignore the one you responded to?

The stalker line was just a joke man, come on.

I was just trying to tell you she is around while adding a touch of humor. I don't seriously think you are stalking her or anyone else. On a serious note, for stuff like that, send a PM.

I was just thinking of joanied while reading April, 30 edition of Blood Horse. A nice story on Carry Back.

I think he was the horse who got her hooked on racing (I hope I'm right). Always enjoy her posts.

You're so concerned about her absence but couldn't spell her sign-on name correctly.

That's pretty funny, Sonny.
