I know there was a thread about this some time ago but I can't find it. I got hit with it agin but now they have a new trick. Up pops a security window labled
Windows xp security and it says you are infected with Bankerfox.

I am using Microsoft Security Essentials and the virus was able to partially disable it. I started in safe mode and it was in there. I was finally able to get into system restore and run a scan with MSE and the icon for the Windows xp security, which I guess is a fake, disappeared. My computer seems to be back to normal now but MSE says it found nothing.

My question is; Why did the icon for Windows XP disappear and is it a fake? :confused:
