exacta in Maiden races

Am I having an illusion ! I don't think so . Because I am now starting to keep paper and pencil records.

Maiden races only. a very high percentage of the races that are won by the 1st or 2nd favorite the other favorite will be second. in other words if the first favorite wins the second favorite is second or the second favorite wins the first favorite is second.Some are no bad exacta.

I would like to know if anyone did research on the top 2 favorites finishing 1st. and 2nd in maiden races.

Can anyone put this thru a data base .......It works , Honest.

I just realized that I forgot to consider entries in the above stats. Therefore the results will be slightly skewed in any race where the favorite is part of an entry. For example, if the entry was the favorite, then a hit would only be scored if the entry finished 1st and 2nd, and the return would be for the entry and whatever horse that completed the exacta--regardless of its odds. A query that incorporated entry's would be a little more difficult to program, and I'm not sure how much it would alter the outcome.
