Leading international sire Sadler's Wells died of natural causes the afternoon of April 26 at Coolmore Stud in Ireland where he has resided since retiring to stud in 1984.

I was lucky enough to see him run a couple of times in the early 80s.
Spectacular.

His influence as a turf sire, around the world, is far reaching.
Another from the Northern Dancer line to make a huge impact.

He was all class on the track and in the shed. Happy that he got to live a long life RIP.

Beautiful horse and a real tough racehorse for Robert Sangster.

One of the greatest sires and made John Magnier a ton of money.

Good on both of them and I hope that he is happy in Ballydoyle in the sky.

Lucky horse for me.
