Prison officials are not going to allow him to donate his organs. They would if he died from natural causes.

George had a guest last night that claimed there was memory at the level of the cells which would lead to behavioral changes in the recipient. Use an organ from a murder, your suppose to take on murderous tendencies.

What garbage!
And what a stupid decision.
Where is the Governor on this one - put these prison morons in their place.

If his organs are free of disease that's a shame . So many people die waiting for a transplant .Very bad decision.

The method of execution in Oregon is lethal injection.

His organs will be made useless when he is poisoned.

I think that he is trying to trick the state into changing the way that he will be executed, so that he can appeal his execution as unconstitutional.

That is incorrect.

my first thought was -- they don't really have organs on death row...but if they did they'd be playing this

Since it is Oregon, he is more likely to die of old age. How about then?

BTW in China the method of execution is a bullet behind the ear. This is for the specific purpose of harvesting as many organs as possible and selling them to the highest bidder.

Perhaps the next thing to be outsources is death row executions.

Death Row Organs - It seems rather cruel to play the organ while they're executing a prisoner. Maybe it depends on the songs. ;)

And.....they bill the family for the bullet.

Fiscally responsible executions.

I'd really have to give this one some thought. I'm not sure I could accept the organs of one who carried out such a horrible crime, and this upon his children, no less. I'd be concerned, that somehow, there'd be a co-mingling of DNA, a sloughing off of cells floating into my bloodstream and my other organs.

This would give me pause . . . possibly new meaning to the term, "a bad heart". Along with "a sick mind." Recall the term, "bad seed?" I wouldn't want any of it germinating.
:D
