I see Coney Island has some new roller coasters.

The Soarin' Eagle and Steeplechase roller coasters are part of the new multimillion-dollar Scream Zone theme park, that replaced several more ramshackle attractions that had their own loyal followings.

So, have you gone yet?

Hands up? Not a chance...with me, they need a crowbar after the ride is over...

Haven't gone...in fact, it's been more than a few years since I've been to an amusement park...Six Flags Great Adventure would be my destination of choice:

we stopped by Coney Island last year on a trip to the East Coast. It looked like a war had taken place in the area, kind of how I imagine Beirut back in the day, like there had been small arms fire and mortar shells landing in the middle of the main drag prior to my arrival. I saw some women in bathing suits that shouldn't have been, I saw a little kid tell a cop to f off to his face, and I took a leak in the parking lot in the middle of the day just because I had to, and it seemed like that would be ok.

The nathans hot dog was great, attended my first circus, all-in-all the place was a hoot.

Nathans needs no mention. Why botha?

Urinating in public, Sir. Is that something that gives you jollies? If so, I can dig it>

Let me get this straight. You've never been to the big top in your entire life until recently?

I know, that's what people say -- no, really, seriously -- no circus?

I got royally screwed on that whole bit...the boy whose circus never came to town. It's heartbreaking, when you really think about it.

Coney Island is only a shell of what is was during it's heyday. Most of it is torn down one of the remaining remnants is the store that sells candy and other goodies next door.

When I was growing up if you went to Nathan's there was a good change of always meeting someone you knew. Not that way today.

The hot dogs were never the same once they outsourced them to Ohio.

Anybody remember Eddies Fascination where you rolled the ball into holes?
