i'm not trying to be a wise ass. if they're affiliated with a party...they all stink. wouldn't dignify the process with a vote.

Independent. The problem with the political agenda is that two parties rule.
Refuse to vote until you put Independent in your poll.

And, for prospector and his ilk, you omitted nazi

Thanks, I like Keith. I have 99% disagreement with the cons coven at PA, primarily because you don't have consideration for social issues and are hypocrites. I am all for balancing the budget and cutting waste in spending; re-structuring the tax codes; stop being the world's cop and apple pie.

please take a moment and view this clip. our political system is a beast. even though our politicians may desire to vote their conscience they can't. the man doesn't dictate to the beast...the beast dictates to the man.

Why DOESN'T America have a multi-party political system as the two major parties simply continue to frustrate by cobbling together disparate, unsustainable elements ? (I know that the significant payola and political bribery goes through the old time parties, but all you'd have to do is break it off once. )

In that way true conservatives would have one party; and true left wingers would have a social democratic/ deomocratic socialist option. The result of which would be that all would feel that they weren't throwing away their franchise on the bloated incumbents.

it don't matter what party you like. if you think back to when obama ran, he ran against bush and not mccain or pallin.

this time around you have donald trump who now claims to be a republican, remember he praised nancy pelosi and harry reed for their courage and leadership. today he wants to run against bush from the republican side of things. i wonder isn't it time we put bush behind us and try to do something good here? at this point of time most people are now convinced he was a complete bum that tried hard to dismantle the moral fiber of this country. i am looking for the guy that can lead us back on track here with a good plan. not discuss the past what everyone already knows.

Once they elected, all they do is represent themselves anyways.
None of them really represent the voters.
So why play their games?

Impose term limits - always vote against any incumbent.

The Two-Party system is beyond broken... Without a multiple party system there really can be no dialogue, coalition building, and transactional lawmaking...

Right now the Tea Party is our best hope at becoming a viable third party... but then I look at the Tea Party and realize thats wishful thinking... :faint:

40% are hard-core left, 40% are hard-core right, and 20% decide the elections, depending what side sways them.

Of that 20%, 90% are simpletons.
That was proven in 2008.

The problem is we have corporate-owned politicians instead of having statesmen. Goldman Sachs and a couple other Wall street firms have proven they own both parties. Look how quickly the evil Koch brothers and Karl Rover swooped in to snatch up the tea party. As long as campaigns are funded by donations, we're screwed.

As a TEA party sympathizer, I don't feel "snatched up."

For the purposes of this poll, I voted R.

Even Walter Mondale, who won a grand total of 13 electoral votes, received about 41% of the popular vote. Although, I think that George McGovern managed to poll under 40%.

I agree with you....shows a total lack of class. And lack of substance.
Guess we know all we need to know about this dud.

steve wynn, being interviewed by cavuto, says that, even though he voted for him, the lies and misrepresentations being perpetrated by the obama administration are "outrageous".

he notes that, not only in las vegas, but all over our country the standard of living of average people is plummeting. gas-up, food-up, education-up.

he says the fed is keeping interest rates low, artificially, and eventually they have to go up. when that happens......big,big trouble.

he says this train in washington must be stopped and the wave that started in the last election had better continue.

is he right or wrong ?

by the way, he mentioned that his investment in china was "fortunate" because it buffered what's happened in las vegas, but he has indicators that things are slowly getting better in las vegas.

I apologize that the word association offended you. Many of my family were killed by them and the world should never forget.

When you write posts like the following, I find that offensive:

"you're missing the independent, communist, and for many who post here socialist"

Communists were as cruel and inhuman as nazis. Calling people "socialist' who are concerned for the human condition is simple-minded.

I will choose my words more carefully.

What is socialism, then? I find the phrase re-distribution of wealth extremely offensive.

i accept your apology as a simple heat of the moment comment...
however, i disagree with your definition of socialist..people who earn should be allowed to keep and not have to give to the unfortunate, incompetent or lazy of the world..i grew up dirt poor, my father never could catch a break..but never thought the world owed him..lots of times he'd work two jobs to make it..he believed in personal responsibility..
