I found a program on my computer call SYSTEM REQUIREMENT LAB that has the extension nvd.dll.

I was going to open it but a window pops up and says it is linked to my system and could damge it if removed. The publisher is undefined.

Does anyone know if this is a legit file or did I pick up a bug.

thanks

How did you find it? Was there a virus scan that found it, or, are you just poking around?

nvd.dll is the complete name of the file? Usually, a search of the internet for just about any file name will result in some kind of hit. This is the closest I came (and it was for nvd.exe, not .dll): http://virus-com.com/viruscom/viruscom_85303.html

A search for Systems Requirement Lab found this: http://www.systemrequirementlab.com/

and this: http://system-requirements-lab.updatestar.com/

THANKS GUYS.

I do have an nvidia card and yes I was "poking around". Actually I was uninstalling some trial programs and I noticed it on the list.

My problem is I don't remember downloading it. (me not remembering...not new):D

the part I posted is the only part that showed up on my uninstall table.

I do apologize because I should have gone to the internet first and looked around.

Thank you guys, again.
