my gosh why do this do this EVERY Florida derby day. this is why i avoid horses coming out the Florida derby every year.

Because people who arent into the sport might become fans of the sport if they read about all the 'fast times' in the newspaper the next day. Maybe a 60 claimer can break the track record and than there will be a big BUZZ in the horse racing scene out there. :rolleyes:

Avoid them in the KY Derby? The winner of the race has won 2 out of the last 5 KY Derbs, as well as a 2nd place finisher.

Well let's add Eight Belles to mix - she finished 2nd in the Derby, then broke down after finishing, but she never started in the FL Derby. So what race line does she share in common with Barbaro and Big Brown? Yes, they all started in the KY Derby. So isn't it obvious that the CD surface is responsible? :rolleyes:
