Are you saying the computer rebooted by itself or the monitor blanked out then restarted?

Probably have stepped away from the computer without using it for a period of time, go into settings if you would like it to not go into that mode while you are using it!

ps using the mouse, moving it even a little, probably 'woke' your system and the screen came up again.....

I had that problem awhile back. (6 months?). The guy at the repair shop said there was nothing wrong with the computer as it was searching for a signal.

I didn't ask for specifics cause I am not that savey and probably would not have understood the description anyway.
