About 2 months back we made predictions, I'm making two major changes based on (a) the Yanks signed Soriano, (b) Greinke's injury

(a) I didn't know Soriano signed w/ NYY until mid March, not sure why I didn't hear about it since I wanted him in Texas after we missed on Lee.

(b) Grienke is a bigger idiot than I originally thought....gets hurt playing hoops, doesn't tell the club till weeks later

So, here's my swing below w/ win totals for contenders

OAK 90............DET 89....................BOS 101
LAA 88............MIN 87....................NYY 91
TEX 83
==================================
SF 96..............CIN 91.....................PHI 10
SD 94..............MIL 88.....................ATL 97
COL 90

WS= BOS v PHA

Darkhorse pick for WS champ, Reds. Which leads me to....

One thing about BOS & PHI, 2 teams with great starting pitching expectations..>>Bill James wrote about the 10 best rotations of all time, none won the WS the year of their "awesome" staffs. Balt 1971 comes to mind. I thought that staff was truly unbeatable....but the playoffs are about being hot for a short period of time (which is why TEX and SF were in the WS last year imo), doesn't reward greatness for 26 weeks of regular season play
