plus a series of conservative shows are also being planned for NPR and PBS. A really stunning and bold move here in response to recent embarrassing news events.:D

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) announced today, in the first of a series of stunning announcements, that its television subsidiary the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) will be replacing the defunct Bill Moyers Journal with a new weekly program, Ann Coulter's Far Out Journey.

The pairing of the conservative Coulter with what some see as the slightly more liberal culture of PBS will begin with Coulter investigating what a CPB spokesperson termed off-the-record as "absolutely bizarre ideas from human history" such as: "Marriage between a man and a woman"; "Islamic radicals were responsible for 9/11 and not George Bush" and "Is a human baby really a baby?" Coulter, in what one insider briskly termed a "rocky start," has startled the PBS bureaucracy by tartly observing these ideas and others are "not only not bizarre, you are bizarre."

The Donald Rumsfeld family (you remember him?) is a contributor to PBS programming. Recent programs on PBS have highlighted the life of Betty Ford, Ronald Reagan; Rumsfeld on Tavis show and other Republican/Conservative notables. There was no negative spin.

Coulter is far-out and I eagerly anticipate the hearing her diatribe. The more her ideas are open for discussion, the better for civil discussion.

I had her pegged for a stint on "Dancing with Starz", or a reality show.

Nah....reality and Ms. Coulter really don't go together.

Sure, they can then say, "see, we are not biased or far left, we have a conservative". MSNBC has pulled this stunt because Pat Buchanan is on in the AM. To be fair about it, Fox also does this, with Alan Colmes and Bob Bechel presenting the liberal viewpoint.

BINGO! I guess that "token" 10% state funding isn't as token as it was made to be, after all. This is NPR's version of Fox's Fair and Balanced.
