Mr. Zetcher's not having a good month with his racemares.
Zetcher said a concern over an ankle led to Zardana’s retirement, which was finalized Saturday after a discussion with trainer John Shirreffs. Zardana was being considered for the $500,000 Apple Blossom Invitational at Oaklawn Park on April 15.

If Zardana didnt beat Rachel in New Orleans, we might have seen that Rachel-Z matchup at the AB in Hot Springs. If Zardana didnt ship, Rachel would have won easily and probably went to meet Z.
