I wonder if The Factor wins his next race and goes to the Derby what will all the attention Bill O'Reilly has given him do for the Derby ratings? He just showed the stretch run of the Rebel on his show. I can't remember a horse getting this much attention on a highly rated show on a consistent basis prior to the Triple Crown. Based on Zenyatta's 60 Minutes piece and subsequent boost in ratings for ESPN it appears that O'Reilly, whether he knows it or not, is giving NBC a huge promotional plug. A bit ironic...since he fights with NBC all the time but great for the sport.

What's the origin of The Factor's name? How'd he get it?

How The Factor got his name (http://blogs.courier-journal.com/racing/2011/03/16/how-the-factor-got-his-name/)

Posted on March 16, 2011 (http://blogs.courier-journal.com/racing/2011/03/16/how-the-factor-got-his-name/) by Jennie Rees (http://blogs.courier-journal.com/racing/author/jrees/)
snip>Co-owner George Bolton named The Factor for two things: the position of those in Europe who manage royal estates, as well as Bill O’Reilly’s popular Fox News show The O’Reilly Factor.<snip

IF The Factor gets in the Derby, I wonder if Mr. Bill will show up!

He has shown the stretch run of his last three wins on the show after each race so I could see him going. I also could see a segment with Baffert happening during Derby week. That would be great exposure.
