Sharing large files is always a pain. Although email like Google gmail has raised the limits, with video, picture & data file sizes increasing, it can sometimes make it difficult to share a file with a coworker or family member.

I've used DropSend from time to time, but it's not optimal, and if you are doing more than 1 or 2 transfers, you'll have to pay for it.

I just found sendoid.com and it seems super easy to install & use, and it's free. It's a peer to peer transfer system but is supposed to be very secure and file transfer size is only limited by your local resources, usually 600 megabytes to 1 gig (according to FAQ).

DropBox starts at 2 gb and when you refer people they add space.

I am up to around 7gb, I think.

I used Dropbox, and probably couldn't live without it for sharing with myself across multiple computers, pdas, and across operating systems, but although you can share files with other users, sendoid seems to be much easier when I need to get a big file to someone else.
