#1? He might not go in the lottery. He will have to play point in the NBA. How is going to match up athletically against guys like Rose and Westbrook?

He will have a job and be a nice player because of his shooting, but he is no #1 pick by any stretch.

Sullinger or Irving from Duke if PG is needed at #1. Jimmer is predicted lottery to mid 1st round but I'm sure his stock is rising.

Derrick Williams, Zona

Jimmers range is ridiculous. He has no problem stopping 6 feet behind the 3 point line and shooting. I have no idea what kinda NBA player he would make. Definitely a risk. Great college player

Not #1, but in the 1st round. He's a nice kid from Glens Falls, NY, and is Tim Tebow without shoulderpads.

All the NBA knows is big men who dunk and point guards who can get them the ball. Heaven forbid that a team would actually feature someone who can shoot the ball from anywhere. Only the Lakers with an aging Kobe do that now. The league has gotten really boring lately. I remember the Celtics with Havlicek and the Jones boys. They were fun to watch.

As a 6'2" shooting guard, he will most definitely be a bench player. He will be a defensive liability. His shooting will get him drafted in the first round no doubt. The kid can play, but as CJ said, is size and athleticism (or lack thereof) will not translate well to the NBA game. He should be better than an Adam Morrison was, but that is short-changing him some.

Am I completely off comparing him to J J Redick? Redick went 11. I'd say top 10 is a lock. However, I'm no basketball guru. I might be way off. Maybe Redick was simply a much superior ball handler.

Redick is much bigger @6-5 and more athletic.

6'5 is a stretch, but he is bigger. It took him a few years to even get playing time.

Something else I heard mentioned about this guy this morning as well is that he has no real upside. He's probably as good as he's going to get at this point.

Alfredrick Hughes led the nation in scoring and never made it in the NBA. Adam Morrison led the nation in scoring and barely survives in the NBA. You have to play defense in the NBA. It's going to be tough.

The NBA is so far superior to the NCAA that its a joke. Even the Butler/Pitt game, which had a great finish was riddled with stupidity at the end. I'd rather watch the best players in the world, rather than those who play below the rim.

He won't be able to drive on anybody in the NBA, he won't play defense - we don't know if he can - he refuses which is worse, won't put his hands up in a 2-3 zone, won't even try to rebound. Best comment on here was no upside, if the old Eastern League was around with scores in the 130's he'd be ok.

Sounds like he'll fit right in on the Knicks :)
