Hi folks, sorry please refresh my memory.
Assuming both Repole horses qualify for the Derby, will they run as an entry or as separate betting interests?
Thanks.

No more entries in the Derby. They will run as separate betting interests.

Thanks, DaHoss.

The rule applies to races in Kentucky with an added or guaranteed purse of at least $1 million.

And speaking of money matters, did you notice the purse distribution in the Timely Writer, with its 50% win share? Second was 25%, with 15% to third, 5% fourth, 3% fifth and 2% sixth. The base purse was $80,000, with an additional $20,000 if the winner was a Florida bred - and Uncle Mo was bred in Kentucky, so all they got for winning was $40,000.

The purse distribution was to entice connections to enter so the race could fill. I can't imagine Repole cares much about money at this point.
