Some notes- this data query was performed using 655 racing cards that I have results for from 01/01/2001 to 7/31/2001. The sample is largely composed of cards from New York (BEL AQU SAR) Florida (GP HIA CRC) Chicago (AP HAW SPT) Kentucky (KEE CD TP) Northern CA (GG BM PLN SOL SR SAC) Southern CA (SA HOL DMR) and Arizona (TUP YAV). The sample also includes a small number of cards from PIM FG LAD PRM and TAM.

Wouldn't that be tough to think of on it's own? I mean, say you have a claimer running in a 25K claiming race. He (or she) finishes 3rd. Trainer enters him (or her) into a 45K claimer race. Now he (or she) is facing a higher (presumably) class of racers. If this horse has only raced 25K claimers, then they most likely wouldn't do well against 45K claimers. Of course this is just one example and results are not guaranteed ;)
