Something about a severed cable causing loss of all comm.

I wonder if it was caused by the ongoing construction of the casino.

Bummer, liked the late races and was all set to seriously invest in the late pick 4. :(

Whoopsie....

"As a result of construction, a 600-pair wire running from Rockaway Boulevard into Aqueduct was accidentally severed, resulting in the loss of all tote communications."

Hmmmm...is this an ominous metaphor or what? The tote cable was cut, now there's just a casino :D

The TLG's twitter feed seems to be severed too. He usually tweets promptly concerning cancellations or last minute changes at NYRA tracks.

If nothing else, this cancellation proves that, without bettors, racing doesn't happen.

We've got your handle right here :)

Had this occurred at Santa Anita people would be storming the ramparts torches blazing.

Very true. We all know NYRA never gets criticized here at PA.

Not so, they would just shrug their shoulders and drive to the next nearest otb sites; Fairplex, Commerce Club, or Los Al. Californians have much better manners than Easterners, and would never behave like uncouth New Yorkers.
