View Full Version : National Racing Report, 3-2
It is posted on the NYRA site (http://www.nyra.com/index_aqueduct.html).
I can't believe we have a quality show like this come along and nobody comments...oh well.

What's that tell you?
Everybody would rather praise Vic for a TVG hour?

Everybody would rather praise Vic for a TVG hour?
That's one of my thoughts.
The new NYRA show is easily the best racing-related show out there.
It's lenghts better.

It's got to be really good because someone hasn't found something to complain about yet....wait....ok haven't found something of "substance" to complain about yet.

Posted where?
If I click on the "National Racing Report" graphic I'm sent to a page displaying a message saying "This Video Is Not Currently Available".
Am I missing something?

It is right there on the home page, an embedded video. Maybe it was missing due to the issues at Aqueduct today, but it was there this morning and it is there now.

Hmmm, I have a picture of the start of the FOY in the right-hand column - right under "Instant Sign-up.. Wager Now".
That looks like a good possibility for what you're talking about -- but, in Firefox anyway, it's nothng more than a still image. Not clickable.
And in IE the picture doesn't even show up -- just a blank space.

Hmmm, OK weird. I tried the vimeo link and it brings me to a National Racing Report page -- but again, no video!
Maybe I'm missing some kind of plug-in -- but I've never had any video problems before... Hmmm.

Having watched last night, but been out all of today--Jason, Andy, and "the Mig" did an outstanding job. Great programming from NYRA.
Thanks to you guys for your hard work. Looking forward to each of these coming up.
It's good. Hear that Al.....it's GOOD! :D
Full screen mode is very good, actually.

The page you are going to is for watching it at 11am on Wednesday and/or Saturday, when we show it on the NYRA Network.
CJ is referring to the EMBEDDED VIDEO on the nyra.com homepage...which will archive every WEDNESDAY show for the week following its airing.
Two different things.

Try http://vimeo.com/20571789 :)I like the Vimeo feed. There's a Vimeo channel on my main TV's Roku Box so I'll have something to watch without having to go to my office to stream it.

I watched it. Very good stuff. Craig, thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Really liked the Mig in the middle.
Andy and Jason were great. You guys seemed a little more loose. Very nice production values. I guess when you aren't trying to get it all in between races you can relax a little more.
Thanks for the Tip on the Roku Cbedo. I have Vimeo on the Roku but rarely watch it. I guess I have a good reason now.

The graphic/link that I first went to is, I think, meant to be used for the "Live stream" -- in fact, it says as much.
However I see no embedded video on the homepage - and when I went to the vimeo link that was provided in this thread, I arrived at a vimeo page entitled "The National Racing Report - March 2, 2011". The whole page seems to be there: a description of the show, a list and screencap of this and previous shows (obviously only the first two are listed so far), etc.
...BUT, in the middle of the page - where I assume the video should be displayed - it's blank.
Again, maybe I'm missing some plug-in - but I've never had any video problems before.

Excellent, excellent stuff. I love the Mig and of course TLG's views are always welcome and insightful. Great analysis, solid information. You feel caught up with the week's events after watching for 27 minutes.
I do wish they would disagree more, but maybe that was just that one show I watched (the current one.) I think a bit of (friendly) conflict gives a show some life. And isn't that one of the things that we like about TLG -- he's not afraid to mix it up and question the conventional wisdom.
Just one comment -- and I am not trying to criticize or pick nits because I really like the show -- but even the Sopranos wasn't perfect: Andy needs to loosen up just a bit at the start of the show. He looks a little nervous and the smile seems forced. Once the show is in gear, however, he seems much more relaxed and on his game.
Andy, just be yourself, you're very good on camera.
I'd give it a 9 out of 10 for these types of shows.

I have latest IE and it lags a split second as an empty pane before the video appears. Might be you are missing some component or are using an older version? For some reason it appears not to be loading for you.

Outstanding show today.
Must've covered 15-20 stakes. No commercials either.
Nice work fellas.
