Anyone catch ther finale from Penn National tonight? 1 minute to post an 11-1 shot goes to 2-1. All over the track and wins it by a head in trotting horse time with the jockey whipping for all he's worth. A 6yo in a $5k maiden claimer.

All the more reason to avoid betting $1 at that gyp of a track.

i am the first to complain about odds, but that horse figured to be less than 3-1 by my numbers. i didn't play that one, i played the 9.

Does anyone have late webshots of the late money pouring in?

I don't have a problem with this as long as a) money isnt coming in after the start or b) people arent refunding money to manipulate the pools.

if someone wants to pound a big bet late, before the race starts, im fine with it.

Wasn't there early money on the 5 and bet was cancelled late? I could be wrong.

i didn't notice

what i do want to say is that tvg betfair wants to buy monmouth park. probably because new jersey legalised exchange wagering. this has to be the biggest hype of all time in the racing game. but it does guarantee prices before the race. and maybe that is what the game is going to need to stay alive. these odds changes are chasing people out of the game slowly but surely

This is a great point. If Betfair owns Monmouth, there's zero chance people will be betting after the start.

It wasn't late money on the 11, it was the big early bet that made the 5 horse 1-9 being cancelled. Not that that also isn't suspicious, but for those who didn't see it, that was what happened.

Some definite pool manipulation was going on....I watched the horse open at 1-9 with about 5K on it and then that money went out in one click of the tote. The horse never really ran a step...so either a great cancel after the warm-up or someone trying to deceive. The 5 really didn't take much action in the exactas either I don't think.

Lambo? You were the 5k on Postal Surprise...nice work I didn't think that much of that horse, but nice work. I figured it was the same guy in the 9th.
