I have been looking at this race for ten minutes now and I find it to be a real mind bender. Just wondering if anybody would like to toss in their opine:

I think there's a price in here..........

:5: :6: :9: - or maybe even the :1: horse

This one is a little tough for me. I think class probably wins out and my software thinks the race is not very volatile at all. I am looking past the software though........

any thoughts for you fairgrounds types. I rarely play FGX

A very basic turf stakes race on firm footing. There’s a good reason why #3 is the M/L favorite. Two other win possibilities are the #9 & #10. Both #8 and #6 both have a legitimate shot at being in the money. All based upon firm footing of course.

Unfortunately since all of the turf races were moved to the main track on Fri., we have no assurances about the condition of the turf course for Sat, or whether or not they’ll even run on the turf. Recommendation: Watch races #3 and #6 to determine the condition of the turf course before jumping into the 8th race.

Good Luck!

Be careful, FG has had more than one day where they'll run 1 or 2 turf races and then scrap the rest of them. And, FG has been really bad at updating the tv monitor on days where they have take the later races off the turf. One day the tv screen said "turf: good" and they had already taken the later races off the grass.

I really like :2: UPPERLINE... Ran well against some good ones on the grass and that last off the turfer sets her up for a big run.

That race is way too contentious for me.

My numbers say #2 UPPERLINE

:2: UPPERLINE is better than the others in this field. The main concern is that she's never won on the turf, although those two starts were against much tougher than she'll face today.

I'm going with Jamie, w-t-w, on the :9: , playing her on top on the :2: ,:3: ,:6: in the ex and tri.

good luck!

The two ML choices look like the deserving favourites to me.

If it stays on the turf, #9 Ice Mist is my choice.

If you think that the 9 will not be pressed it has a good shot. I don't believe that it will get too much of a clear lead especially if the turf stays "good". I wouldn't leave her out of the exotics, though.

I would play the 2, but that's not going out on a limb too much. Has a lot going for it, including the trainer and jock. I do think that the 3 is a false fave, although the 2 might go off as the actual favorite.

:2: over :9: :10: is what I would play if I were a betting man. ;)

The scratches changed everything.......

Thanks for the input guys. I think I will sit on my hands now that it has changed so much.

Hawg---2-10 pays $35.20. Not a bad hit on a $4.00 exacta play. That's IF you were a betting man.

Thanks mel. I had a couple of shekels on it. ;) Thanks to JR too, as I wouldn't have looked that closely at the race without him asking whodoyoulike.

Mel, you harness sickie, what are you doing popping up on the REAL racing board?

RXB---You make good points. It's just that the Hawg-man and I go way back. He puts up with my sickness. :) Exacta on that Club Med race 3 with 45.

We like to keep you rickshaw fanatics in the attic so that you don't scare any visitors. :) I'll have to track you down in the War Room some Monday or Tuesday.

RXB---My horse only good for 4th at Club Med. Think I'm going to head up to my attic. Hope it's not to scary up there. :)

Maybe someday soon I will get back over to the dark side.
