Defiantly, yes. Definitely, no.

They still have until Tue to straighten out this mess. Hopefully saner heads will prevail.

It would be a disaster if you want to know the truth. They'd destroy the turf course and probably have to cancel much of the fall as they aren't built for the weather that time of year.

This is a bargaining chip. Won't happen

Bad

Very bad. Calder already runs 6-8 horse fields on the dirt, so imagine how it'll be with two tracks vying for the same horses. Yuck.

More of Stronach shooting himself, racing and a storied track in the foot. We should nick name him the Terminator.

It's all just part of bargaining and trying to put pressure on Calder to give up December racing dates, but is there anyone in the history of racing who has lost more money than Stronach? He's destroyed his company, lost hundreds of millions of dollars and made the wrong move at pretty much every turn. He even found a way to lose money with a casino, which didn't seem possible.

the calder meet was one of the best that they ever had last year. that meet MADE gulfstream this year and now stronach wants to ruin what is good for him. frank should take a backseat on this one.

Frank Stronach makes Al Davis look like Steve Jobswait a second, al davis is a class act, he has always know how to win. i love the guy and only hope he wins another championship before his days are up.

Not according to John Pricci

http://www.horseraceinsider.com/John-Pricci/comments/02242011-a-carrot-for-the-horsemen-a-stick-for-calder/#comments

I did try to disabuse him of that sentiment, but he doesn't seem to have a bad thing to say about Gulfstream this year. I wonder why....

But he is a board member on a certain player's rights group and is a trained and well known reporter, so he would be all for protecting the players and the truth here, right?

What would be better than having that Pick 5 with the low takeout all year round?
