ANY ADVISE WOULD BE APPRECIATED

I bought a new monitor, new monitor cable, new power cable and installed the driver and everything worked great.

Today, the monitor goes black when I put a program on it and then it "lights up" and works normally. For example, I move excel from monitor 1 to monitor 2 and open it.

The other monitor didn't do that.

Any ideas?

what do you mean, are you trying to run two monitors off of your computer at the same time? that should be easy if your graphics card has two connectors, mine has an analog and an hdmi onnector, yours may be different.

Are you running some type of batch file or script when the monitor goes black?

THIS HAPPENS WHEN I START EXCEL (OR ANY OTHER PROGRAM) IN THE OTHER MONITOR. I AM NOT RUNNING ANYTHING. I HAVE EXCEL IN MONITOR 2 AND MY FORM ON MONITOR 1

Go into display properties in the control panel and ensure the resolution is the same or similar for both monitors. Sounds like it's a syncing problem.
