I'm not sure why it's so hard to find results for this tournament. Best I could do so far is find the top 5:

FINAL RESULTS OF THE 2011 HORSEPLAYER WORLD SERIES

1st- Bart Solomon 3416 pts $296,550
2nd- Michael Harrington 3292 pts $65,900
3rd- Gary West 3264 pts $46,130
4th- Kenny Peck 3253 pts $32,950
5th- Ken Warner 3136 pts $11,770

Anybody from the board participate this year?

Thanks from me too! I've never found the results of this contest when I've looked for them, never seen it in print or in articles or seen any interviews that I can recall. I'd love to be in the contest someday, and they do a great job working with the tracks to have satellite events, but the during/after/results promotion seems totally non-existant, even on their own website. Okay, lots going on at the casion, but still, one would think they'd want to show off the great tournament and wonderful prizes. Far worse than the situation in the thread about DRF/NTRA Horseplayer of The Year and Eclpse Award that doesn't get awarded until about 11 1/2 months after the player wins it.

Hey Jay Trotter...

I was fortunate to win day 2 total points and came in 16th overall winning a combined 12k

You're right about the PR around the contest - not much at all. The results are buried in the "The Orleans" website
