I feel your pain, had a 15$ late double at AQU 4/8 and of course the 8 gets nipped by the chalk.

Not to mention had a close loss 10$ straight exacta in the 8th 4/6

Game is frustrating me to no end of late.

I'm snake-bit "Tee".
I couldn't pick a winner in a "walkover" anymore.

Believe me, I know the feeling. Seems every time I try to take the chalk it goes down in a ball of flames. Pick the "right" value horse? Nipped by the chalk. I feel out of rhythm, need to do :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: to try to get it back I guess.

Sometimes when I get into a funk I try get away from the wagering thing for a little bit to clear my head. It helps to clear my mind and more importantly removes the earlier frustation and reflection on the losses. Nothing worse than trying to wager to recover losses, it's too risky and usually does not work.... been there done that. Good luck guys - I feel your pain also.

^agreed. but for some reason I find it harder to take the losses in horse racing as easily as in sports, which I bet more seriously. I think it's because of the countless races each day. In sports, often you have only a few games and it's easy to talk yourself off of them...in the amount of time it takes you just to screen through races it almost becomes inevitable that you want to wager a little bit...
