You really need to resize these pics, for starters...you are blowing out the side of my screen big time.

And those pictures of rubble. You do realize they are building a casino there? You also realize they have closed the backstretch and shipped all the horses to Belmont so that they can carry on construction without fear of spooking horses during training hours among other times....

With all that in mind, I'm not quite understanding these unflattering shots...

Yellow journalism at its finest.

I do like the title of the thread, though.
Reminds me of my trip to Hiroshima Downs.

Still the best track to get an unobstructed view of the races with a pair of binoculars! No need to worry about trees of toteboards to obscure that run down the backstretch.

Aqueduct is my favorite track. It is a shame that the third floor grandstand is closed and you have to look at construction rubble if you watch from the 2nd floor. It was a much better place to watch a race last year. Maybe my "yellow journalism" will save someone the bother of going out there to watch the races. They will most likely just end up watching the races on a TV; if that is the case just watch from home. There is nowhere to watch outside.

Given the Racino is being built, what exactly should NYRA do? Just curious, as since you have taken your share of shots, curious what realistic constructive ideas you have.

By the way, how come you didn't mention that you rode to Aqueduct on the free bus that NYRA offered? You know, the one you expected to be empty but found to be filled to capacity.

Missed that. I apologize.

I understand the problems created by the construction. The only options for NYRA are to run with a apron festooned with rubble or not run at all. I understand that NYRA can only run with the rubble.

From the players POV -totally separate from NYRA's POV- if we can't watch the races from outside maybe it is just best to watch from home.

As far as the bus goes- thanks for the ride. I even included a photo of the bus for the enjoyment of paceadvantage readers. Given the Racino is being built, what exactly should NYRA do? Just curious, as since you have taken your share of shots, curious what realistic constructive ideas you have.

....

I would LOVE to know how to re-size images. I've asked before in the wrong threads, maybe this is a good place to ask.

I figured out the You-Tube embed, so I am capable of learning technical computer stuff.

Of course, the downside is more goofy pictures, but still...

Pretty please?
