Where can I find this stat? A discussion yesterday at Santa Anita came up.
Some of the men were saying the %of favorites is way high on the new dirt track and that competion is limited to who gets the early lead.

Thanks in advance for any comments

Hey Richie, thanks, I forgot about Brisnet. I'll check out your link.
I guess the guys were correct. Favorite percentages are up.
That is not exactly a good thing either.
I'm basically sticking to the turf course. Different situations there.
Still, we're in a world of trouble here in California.
Not enough horses. Owners and fans are the biggest suckers in the game, in that order. However, the "golden goose" has been slaughtered.
Lots of factors contributing, not good for California racing. SIGH :bang:

Hey if you're not playing SA then it won't affect your bottom line.;)

Unfortunately, I don't play online, and only follow the So. Cal. circuit.
Tough to do, I know.
You people who can play Gulfstream and Fairgrounds right now are in a good position to make some profits.

What's really going to make this whole gig interesting is that because of dirt,SA horses will be relevant in the triple crown again. It won't be a "Will they take to dirt or not" issue. They can be favorites out there til the wheels come off but come Derby day they'll at least be relevant.Unless Cali has a weak crop of fresh 3YO.

Steve Asmussen has a few good three year olds here at Santa Anita.

I'm pretty sure it will be the other way around. Pro-ride required quite a bit of versatility from horses, whereas on the new SA dirt, horses can get away with high early speed and limited late speed. I prefer versatility over strong early speed in the TC races.

Which ones found the winner's circle on Derby day?I've got zero on my count.
