Watching the races, and notice the AW track is listed as 'good'.
I'm certain over here I have only seen 'fast' or no actual rating at all, other than the name the surface composition went by.
Anybody seen anything different in North America?

Interesting.....
I was watching the 3rd,which was on the poly, and the track condition, listed on the feed that HPI receives, was shown as 'good'.

Just noticed the upcoming 5th is also on the poly, and the live feed rates the surface as 'good'.

All Weather - Standard
Turf - Good

They may be coverting the official description of standard to a more familiar US term for US bettors and adding to graphics display

I do not see any surface description on the feed i'm viewing (Attheraces) nor did i notice one on replays on Emirates racing.

I haven't heard many overseas announcers, but this guy calling the races at Meydon (i think he was at NAS also) is great. Cruises through big fields without a hiccup; picks up every horse.
I like him better than all the foreign callers in the US. What's his name?
