Whistles and sticks? In Egypt people are protecting themselves with Whistles and Sticks.......This is why the second Amendment is a profound piece of a one of a kind document and country.

What don't you understand or is it what don't you want to understand ??

Libs will now want to change that to keep and bear sticks.
And ban whistles.

The NRA stated that it considers the vuvuzela a whistle and will oppose any attempts to ban them from sporting events.

I thought you'd joke that the NRA forewarned they would shoot any fan attempting to bring a vuvuzela into a sporting event.

Distantly related - Big Brother closes in. Let's get neighbors watching each other.

I get the advantages of it. For example, most of the time someone is home at our house, also the retired cop across the street. The concept is that if someone is knocking doors in the neighborhood, testing for who is home, you can report it and the police will check it out.

I am all for this - it does work against crime. However, imagine an alert sent that says, "Does your next door neighbor have firearms? Let us know." Of course, in our neighborhood, they would not bother to ask because everyone is armed.

  That's funny. Virtually everyone on my street owns at least one gun. And there's a working cop who lives two doors down from me, and a SWAT team shooting instructor who lives on the next street down from me. And my neighbor across the street from me and the one next door to me (I live in a corner house) are both expert marksmen.

A vintage 1903 single-barrel one shot 12 Ga. shotgun was given to me by a deceased friend's wife. I took it to work and showed it to a friend who is a collector (on the parking lot of course). He declined. Later that day coming from a store I sat in my car preparing to leave when I accidentally popped open the trunk. As (bad) luck would have it, one of Baltimores finest was strolling down the street and saw the unloaded gun lying in my trunk. I had to get out of the car and explain why this weapon was in my vehicle. He ran my tags looking for wants and warrants. He searched my car for ammo, which if I had any in my car (other than trunk) would have been perfectly legal. He warned me against carrying a weapon in my car, and advised me that he will be watching me in the future. A bit over the top, don't you think ?

 You made my morning. Luv it.
The day vuvuzela's invade North American sporting events, is the day I stop attending sports matches.

Second Amendent is a country ?

Whether you like it or not people own guns and will always own guns.

Criminals use them to commit crimes.

Law abiding civilians use them to protect themselves.

What country do you live in ??

The better question would have been, "which planet"?

What does that have to do with my question, partisan politics aside ?

redshift1 pointed out the unusual use, or possible mis-use of the term country in the following sentence that was authored by JustRalph:

"This is why the second Amendment is a profound piece of a one of a kind document and country."

As far as I can determine he never questioned the Second Amendment from what I can see.

Partisan politics aside, what does your question have to with anything?

Except you didn't state anything. You inquired. Therefore, I'm not so sure about that "smart and clever" stuff. :D
