Happened in London of all places.

What made the feat even more incredible was that it came after an epic 925m contest — the longest distance dogs are allowed to compete over.

When it was announced the crowd let out a cheer and all three dogs got a trophy celebrating the moment.

Bookmaker Dougie Tyler Junior had been watching greyhound racing for 45 years and said: "I've never been witness to a triple dead heat before, it's amazing."

Simon Clare, spokesman for bookmaker Coral, said: "Nobody at Romford can remember a triple dead heat ever happening in a greyhound race before.

"The odds on it happening are many millions to one.

"It would be like winning the national lottery and then getting struck by lightning minutes later."

I remember a triple dead heat a while back at Woodbine for the show spot.

First time I've seen a tote delay, probably lasted a good 20 minutes...
Lots of different prices for the tote machine to work out.

I seem to remember a huge mural of a triple dead heat at Freehold at the Freehold Mall.

He tripped the teletimer. http://i51.tinypic.com/1oqaki.gif

Now they'll have to manually re-time the race.

I seem to remember a huge mural of a triple dead heat at Freehold at the Freehold Mall.

That was the first triple deadheat to win in a harness race. It occurred at Freehold Raceway on Oct. 3, 1953. The three horses were: Patchover, Penny Maid, and Payne Hall.

The most famous T-bred triple deadheat is the 1944 Carter Handicap when Brownie, Bossuet, and Wait-A-Bit hit the wire together.

I've been to Romford many times and would have taken a triple dead heat 90% of the time. :) Never saw a race longer than 750m's though.

It's a great place to play the greyhounds.
