Any idea on average how often this happens at Aqueduct, this is my first full winter meet wagering with New York?

Unusual winter this year.

A New York City record was set for January snowfall this year. Also, there have been unusual days -- even by winter standards -- of fierce winds.

It's been a rough winter for racing.

I wasn't certain that yesterday's card would go -- it snowed pretty hard late yesterday morning and that was distinct from the snowfall we had last night into this morning -- so job well-done for NYRA yesterday.

I like the canx cards, makes for bigger fields in the future. NYRA does it right by calling it early.

The snow is unusual this year. The general reason in the winter is the high winds off Jamaica bay causing brutal windchill.
