Thanks for asking. My book is almost done and orders will be shipped out in a couple of weeks when it returns from the printer. The name of the book is TROTPICKS: Modern Harness Handicapping Methods.

Pandy,

Is it an advanced work on the handicapping process...or is it pointed more towards the beginning players?

Pandy,

Is it an advanced work on the handicapping process...or is it pointed more towards the beginning players?

A novice would probably have some questions because it's written for someone who already knows the basics. But, at the same time, I included step-by-step methodology that a beginner could follow. One thing that I don't like about many handicapping books, they give you all sorts of information about various handicapping factors, but then you get to the end of the book and all you have is more knowledge, but no actual game plan as to how to put it all together. My book is more precise.

Another thing, I've always preferred handicapping books that used the past performances to show rather than tell. I included a ton of pps, and even used the methodology to handicap an entire 15 race card at Dover Downs.

I am looking forward to reading it.

Mine came yesterday and I have just been skimming it at lunch - looks pretty good - lots of stuff in there and seems to be well-written. Will get into it tonight, but so far, I am pretty happy with it. Pretty recent example races.

I'm not just writing this because Bob is here on this board.Anyone who knows me personally would vouch for my opinions on the man of whom I first heard of back in the mid 1980's.

This is a good piece of work.Finished it a few weeks ago.Bobs one of the few in my opinion that knows this game. His conclusions of reasoning work! Any experienced level harness player will enjoy this book and get something out of it.

Bob has written so many informative articles for Harness Eye and the U.S.T.A over his career that cannot be crammed into just one book.I am already wishing for a follow up.:jump:
