Why is her career in "serious jeopardy?"

I had read somewhere recently about this injury...I sure hope it isn't career ending, I absolutley love this filly (she has a great name too:) )...she is in very good hands...I'm going to think positive that we'll get to see her win some major filly races this year.

I doubt we'll see Awesome Feather racing again.

She had a tough 2-yr old campaign before Stronach bought her and sent her to Chad Brown.

I'm left to wonder if the tendon was a "suspected issue" by prior trainer/owner and that is why she was sent to auction.

It is peculiar that Stronach paid 2.3 million for a filly that may never race again becasue she had "a priorily, unknown tendon injury".

Another shrewd business move by Stronach.

Hope you are wrong about that prediction, igiveup...one thing about Stronach, he takes excellent care of his horses, and if she isn't 100%, she'll for sure join his broodmare band...what a shame that would be, not having her come back.

Your right.

Maybe THAT is what Stronach thought :bang: when he bought AF.

At the price he paid for her, thinking it over, maybe he'll just take her to the farm, give her the time she needs and get her bred...it's a dilema, I think...if he gives her time to heal up and she still isn't 100% to race, he will probably have missed getting her bred and will have her out to pasture until next years breeding season...so guess we'll have to see how it plays out, but saure would be a shame if we lose this one, man, she has talent!!
Nice pedigree too...no doubt Awesome Again had alot to do with his buying her...she has a very nice pedigree and I notice in her 3rd generation (bottom) is Vaguely Noble...you don't see him that close anymore...and in the next generation back is Princequillo, another one you don't see that close anymore and he's a huge asset to any pedigree. (He was a large heart stallion)

R Heat Lighting is another member of that solid 3YOF division that was supposed to return, but hasn't been on the work tab lately.
