New York (CNN) -- In one of the largest single-day operations against the Mafia in FBI history, federal agents working with local law enforcement fanned out across Italy, New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island to arrest 127 people with ties to organized crime, officials said.

Alleged members from the five prominent New York families -- the Gambino, Colombo, Bonanno, Genovese and Lucchese families -- were arrested Thursday, receiving 16 indictments in four judicial districts, Attorney General Eric Holder said during a news conference in New York.

With the upcoming elections in less than two years, BO desperately needs to find something to brag about for his sad sack, sorry AG.

Some of the crimes go back to the 80's.

Prosecution to witness: Tell us about that fateful day
Witness: I remember I was in a club. I was wearing a puka shell necklace with a triple knit leisure suit and a splash of Hai Karate cologne. I went over to pick-up my Members Only jacket at the coat check. And then it happened...

why don't they go out and find themselves some ALQAEDA like the cowards they are, instead of chasing after 90 year old sitting ducks

Cause he's dead.

Then they should find the body.

Anyway, it does no good; always more soldiers to take the place of the capos.

Thanks for the video.

One of my favorite News guys......Greg Kelly, from Fox news.

Prior to joining Fox News Channel, Kelly was a reporter for New York 1 News, where he covered New York City politics and the September 11th attacks. He started his career in journalism as an anchor and reporter for NewsChannel 34, the ABC affiliate in Binghamton, New York. Prior to this, Kelly spent nine years as a fighter pilot in the United States Marine Corps. He specialized in flying the AV-8B Harrier jet. During his military service he amassed 158 aircraft carrier landings and flew over Iraq in Operation Southern Watch, enforcing the United Nations-imposed “No-Fly Zone.” A licensed commercial pilot, he currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Corps Reserves.

They spend all that time and money going after old men to get big headlines. Fighting all crime is good but where is the effort against drug racketeers and gangsters that are turning our cities into shooting galleries?

Credit where credit is due.

Old or not these guys are thugs.
The main question is : Why do the same hoods keep recycling through the system?
The Gambino, Colombo, Genovese, and Lucchese families were known mafia types when I wore a much younger man's clothes. Like say, 40 years ago.
It's about bloody well time. They've likely being buying politicians for years.
They should have been deported years ago or incarcerated and the key thrown away.

Bravo I say.
Unfortunately, my guess is that my Grand-child will hear of these names being arrested again when he gets to be my age.

That my have been true at one time. Right now there are gangs numbering in the thousands throughout the cities in the country and they are organized. They have access to drug suppliers worldwide and are making plenty of money. They do not need these old time gangsters like they did at one time. IMO I think these new breed of gangsters are a much bigger threat to public safety and are a bigger drain on our economy.
