Problems with SA main track?

Yes, that's not a good way to start out...but I think we have to give them a break here, considering the horrible weather they had...all that rain, all at once...there is also the surface change that horses need to adjust to for a while, and IMO, training on one surface and racing on another is not good for the horses.
All the accounts I've read from riders & trainers seem to be giving the dirt high marks...it's deep, consisant, has a great cushion, horses are going over it very well...
I beleive like most anything else that's new, it needs a little time...and if I were a trainer who's horses have been on nothing but synthetic, I'd ease them into the dirt surface a little at a time.

Seriously, that many problems is not a good sign.

Maybe they ought to scrap racing out there altogether. They can't seem to get any surface right.
