I’ve always had a fascination with Greyhound, the Grey Ghost.

This amazing trotter with his graceful and long stride was possibly the fastest of all time. He set a world record of 1:55.1 that stood for 31 years! A customer of mine recently sent me a postcard from 1938 which was mailed by a gentleman to a woman and on the postcard he wrote, "Hello, saw Greyhound race at Goshen today. He is the most thrilling horse. Trotted a mile in 1:59.1."

pandy,
I've a scanned image of the image from a Greyhound postcard from Goshen that was never mailed.
It's nice quality.

There are 60 images between two photographers in the Time-Life archives of photo's of Greyhound that were never published.
The Time-Life archives (http://images.google.com/hosted/life) are one of the most difficult website I've ever navigated. Searching the website is hopeless and by intention.

The Greyhound photo's are under photographers, Peter Stackpole and Hansel Mieth

For those interested in old harness racing photo's.

There's nearly 250 photo's (most of which are not named) available via the Kentuckiana Digital Archives (http://kdl.kyvl.org/cgi/b/bib/bib-idx?type=simple&c=eadimages&q1=harness+racing&rgn1=entire+record)

BTW, if somebody is able to determine how to arrive on a landing page for these two photographers in the Time-Life archives?

Your far more competent and patient than I at locating items on the internet.
